Step-by-step tutorial for connecting your SendGrid account to List Armor for automatic suppression syncing.
Prerequisites
- A List Armor account with API access
- A SendGrid account with API key permissions
Step 1: Get your List Armor API key
Navigate to Settings > API Keys in your List Armor dashboard. Create a new key with "Suppression Sync" permissions.
Step 2: Configure the SendGrid integration
In List Armor, go to Integrations > SendGrid. Enter your SendGrid API key with read/write access to suppression groups.
Step 3: Map your suppression lists
Choose which List Armor suppression lists should sync with which SendGrid suppression groups. Most customers create a 1:1 mapping.
Step 4: Enable real-time sync
Turn on bidirectional sync. Now when someone unsubscribes in SendGrid, they're automatically added to List Armor. And when you import suppressions to List Armor, they're pushed to SendGrid.
Step 5: Verify it's working
Add a test email to your List Armor suppression list and verify it appears in SendGrid within 60 seconds.
That's it! Your suppression lists are now synchronized automatically.
